How I run my business van - Chino's Cafe

Van: Refrigerated Daihatsu Hijet
Financing method: Bank loan
If you want good coffee, or excellent sandwiches, there’s only one place to go in Hampton: Chino’s.
Based in the riverside Middlesex village, Chino’s was started seven years ago by Bridget O’Sullivan (pictured).
Two years later Bridget decided Chino's could service the surrounding area with their homemade sandwiches and buffets.
So she bought a refrigerated Daihatsu Hijet.
“It’s only a small van, but it was perfect. I bought it secondhand, using a bank loan repayable over three years,” says Bridget.
“Apart from the odd puncture, it’s been fantastically reliable. We’ll keep it as long as it keeps going!
“Customers asked us to provide this service. It’s not very profitable but as long as the Daihatsu keeps providing us with cheap transport, we’ll continue with the service,” says Bridget.
