Changing windshield wipers

This process is simple but important to know, as windshield wipers often need replacing on an annual or bi-annual basis. Consult your owner’s manual or look online to determine which replacement blades you require. Blades can easily be acquired from all auto shops or online. To change the wiper blades, lift the wipers and slide out the old blades. Be sure to check how the blades are attached, as this varies from van to van. Next, attach the new blades, ensuring that you do not bend the wiper arms. Make sure that the new wiper blades are secure.

The next step

These are only basic procedures, but over time, they will save your business money, particularly if you operate a large fleet. What’s more, if you’re prepared to invest in some quality equipment (such as tools and machinery from SGS Engineering) and some training from a professional mechanic, there’s nothing to stop your in-house team from getting to grips with far more complex jobs as well. The less you are reliant on outsourcing your repairs and services from another company, the more money your business will save in the long term.
