Mercedes Sprinter 315CDI Extra-Long 3.5t Super High Roof

What is it?

Massive, range-topping Mercedes panel van, with extra long wheelbase and super-high roof. This is the 2.2-litre turbo diesel – a stonking V6 version is also offered.

What's hot?

  • Effortless motorway cruising
  • Class-leading active safety features include ABS and ESP
  • Superb build quality, panel fit and interior finish
  • Enormous capacity – 17 cubic metres – plus payload of 2.5 tonnes…
  • … makes Sprinter ideal for long-distance delivery work
  • Long service intervals of 25,000 miles will reduce maintenance bills

What's not?

  • It’s expensive…
  • …though this needs to be counterbalanced by strong Mercedes residuals
  • Cost of add-ons soon mounts up making a high-spec van pricey
  • Automated manual transmission option no longer available.

Business Van Manager Road Test Rating

A Mercedes that lives up to its name. The Sprinter is comfortable, with excellent road manners, together with a cavernous loadspace. It’s pricey, but probably worth the extra.
