New multi-energy platform covers all needs with 105 to 170 hp Diesel Blue dCi engines (substantially lowering CO2 emissions and consumption), 96 or 105-kW electric motors and 40 or 87 kWh batteries providing more than 250 miles of WLTP range, plus a hydrogen version.
While Renault began exploring the idea of electric vans back in 1985 with an EV version of the Renault Express running on nickel-zinc batteries, this ambition became a reality in the early 2000s with the Kangoo.
Kangoo Electric, which has won the hearts of some 70,000 professional customers since its launch at the end of 2011, now accounts for one in every five electric utility vehicles sold in Europe. Equipped with a new lithium-ion battery with a fully usable capacity of 45kWh, the Kangoo E-TECH Electric boasts a range of up to 300km (187 miles) in WLTP cycle.
Available from 2022, the all-new Master Van H2-TECH offers zero CO2 emissions, increased range, and fast refueling time and is designed to transport goods and packages with ease thanks to its 12m3 cargo volume and a range of up to 310 miles (500km). Thanks to these attributes, the Master will meet the needs of businesses, large accounts, fleets, and local communities.
Kent County Council has taken delivery of 20 electric Renault Kangoo E-Tech and four Renault Zoe Vans for its new Kent Realising Electric Vans Scheme (REVS), through which local businesses can enjoy a free trial of one of the award-winning light commercial vehicles for up two months.
Cargo volume from 3.3 to 3.7m³ is also among the largest in the segment. The van allows a payload of up to 780 kg in the petrol version and 650 kg in the diesel version. It is equipped with six swivelling lashing rings on the floor and four on the sides.
The new Kangoo will be available in two lengths and offered, with manual and automatic transmission, in diesel, petrol and electric versions. Its useful volume ranges from 3.3 to 3.9 m³ in the standard version and from 4.2 to 4.9 m³ in the long version.
The new Master Aluminium Tipper joins the existing steel body Tippers, while the new Master Luton Box Van range replaces the previous model and brings a tranche of improvements.
