SATELLITE navigation is the top option choice for new vans, according to the latest research by Nissan.

Keeping costs down is crucial for business van operators, and sat nav is seen as a crucial tool in maximising productivity.

40% of van fleet operators said sat nav was an essential feature for new vans

Forty-five percent of van drivers and 40% of van fleet operators said sat nav was an essential feature for new vans, the report found, rated ahead of vehicle trackers, parking sensors and Bluetooth connectivity. Over 80% of those surveyed were covering 200-plus miles a day.

Sat nav is rated as more important than driver comforts such as air conditioning, electric windows and heated mirrors, with greater emphasis placed on ensuring drivers arrive at their destination via the quickest and safest route.
