The Luton plant’s conversion centre has been operated by a third party until now, when the contract expired. The Vauxhall plant was one of the companies that pitched for the new business.
“We can do it better and more cheaply,” confirmed Luton plant director Mike Wright.
“We’ll be offering fleet and individual conversions. Some of it might be simple plylining, some of it more complex conversions for our big fleet customers. So whether it’s one or 100 we will be able to do the conversion for you.”
The number one conversion currently coming from the Vauxhall conversion centre at the Luton plant is the Vivaro Crew Cab.
