We always put the Ford Transit Connect just about bottom of the list in the small trades van sector thanks to its high running costs, but it has now leap-frogged to the top, vying for supremacy with the excellent Volkswagen Caddy.
Superb build quality, excellent road manners, a mass of useful innovations, brilliant load carrying ability and fantastic fuel economy – the Connect just about has the lot.
