What’s not
- We like this van so much that it seems like nit-picking to find fault with it. But the passenger seat seemed too upright on our test model, which would leave second and third occupants squirmingly uncomfortably after a long journey.
- Even more pickily, the heater and aircon controls are placed a long way from the driver, tucked away behind the gear lever, meaning that the controls can’t be adjusted easily while under way.
Business Vans verdict
It looks good, it drives brilliantly and compared to some of the sporty van opposition the price of the Transit Custom Sportvan is a snip, as long as you don’t want to drive in the same way that this van looks.
The Ford Transit Custom Sportvan not only makes you feel good, it makes your business look good – and all the while it delivers on the business end. It’s a great combination: traders, form a queue behind me at the Ford sales desk.
