New Fleet Insurance product from Fleet Alliance: mix and match a variety of vehicles under the one fleet policy

IS your small business expanding the number of cars you run? Or perhaps you’ve decided to take on some new business vans? Maybe a mixture of both.

They all need to have business insurance, of course, but whether you insure them individually or under a fleet policy is where it gets trickier.

To make life easier for the business car manager, one of our partners, the leasing and fleet management specialist Fleet Alliance, has just launched a new fleet insurance product, Fleet Insurance.

What must be particularly appealing for an SME business with a small fleet is that Fleet Insurance offers the ability to insure different types of vehicle on the same policy.

So whether it’s your firm’s business cars, business vans or heavy goods vehicles, they can all be insured under the same Fleet Insurance policy. The mix and match product also includes taxi and courier fleets and, indeed, any combination of each.

Fleet Alliance says it has launched Fleet Insurance to help SME companies control the rapidly escalating cost of insurance – up 20% over the last two years – by providing access to some of the most competitive fleet insurance rates available.

To do so, Fleet Alliance has teamed up with a leading insurance intermediary to offer fleets the opportunity to access insurance rates from a panel of more than 25 companies nationwide, including Lloyds of London, to find the most cost effective quotations for their fleets.

“We have seen continual increases in fleet insurance rates in recent years, on the back of rising crash repair costs and other inflationary factors,” said David Blackmore, commercial director at Fleet Alliance.

“With Fleet Insurance we want to continue our objective of helping our SME fleet customers keep their costs as low and as under control as feasibly possible, while still providing a first rate service.

“Through Fleet Insurance, we will ensure small fleet operators receive a comprehensive review of their insurance needs whether it is a pending renewal or a new enquiry. With insurance costs increasing across the board and companies wanting to save money in the current economic climate, we feel this is the ideal time to launch this scheme,” David added.

Fleet Alliance says Fleet Insurance is part of its Fleet 360 suite of fleet solutions, which includes competitive tendering, accident management, fleet risk, flexi hire, driver check and fuel management.
