A recent Manheim Volkswagen commercial auction made more than £1.3 million in total sales with a 62-plate VW Amarok selling for 96% of the list price
VOLKSWAGEN light commercials are enduringly popular with tradespeople and SMEs and a recent sale at Manheim’s Bruntingthorpe auction centre in Leicestershire reflected this.
Around 43 franchise dealers paid top prices for a selection of vans from Volkswagen Financial Services at the closed VW commercial auction, in which almost 100 vehicles generated a total sale value of more than £1.3 million.
An Amarok pick-up with 6000 miles on the clock performed exceptionally well. The Highline 4 Motion Permanent TDI Blue Motion 180hp DSG model, in Reflex Silver and fitted with satellite navigation and tow bar, sold for 96% of its original list price and 120% of CAP Clean.
Manheim’s head of commercial vehicles James Davis told Business Vans: “While the closed auction debut of the 180hp Amarok was the major highlight of the day, there was also a fantastic selection of Volkswagen van products on offer, all of which attracted highly competitive bidding.
“We’re seeing some very positive results in the LCV market at present, demonstrating that good quality stock from prime sources will always be in demand.”
