Expect chassis cab and minibus versions too

Iveco is not alone in recognising the need for improved economy. The new Iveco Daily should be 5% cheaper on diesel than the existing van, and Iveco is also claiming reduced total cost of ownership on the back of a wide range – more details to follow closer to the launch.

And another trend is for car-like cabins in new vans. Iveco says it has greatly improved noise insulation, put a lot of thought into the ergonomics to create a better driving position, and added improved air con and all round comfort.

The new Iveco Daily will be available as a chassis cab as well as a panel van, and a minibus version is also promised.

New Iveco Daily key points

  • Dramatic new front end for heavy duty van
  • New daily retain classic ladder frame chassis
  • More capacity: new 18 cu m and 20 cu m models, plus 11 cu m van
  • Better running costs – Iveco says fuel economy 5% better
  • New levels of cab quietness and comfort
  • On sale in June in Europe; expect September debut in the UK
