The charity Eye Feel Good will used the Steed pick-up loaned by Great Wall to tow this climbing wall all over the UK and Ireland

WHEN it comes to towing a great wall, what better way to do it than with a Great Wall?

The wall in question is a climbing wall and the vehicle is a Great Wall Steed, which has been lent to cancer charity Eye Feel Good by the Chinese pick-up manufacturer.

Here’s the wall in action

Eye Feel Good is a charity in Northern Ireland whose aim is to raise money through organised events for people who suffer from cancer.

The 4×4 double-cab pick-up, which is the lowest priced 4×4 at present, will be used by the charity to tow the 2.5-tonne, 24ft high climbing wall around the UK and Ireland throughout 2014 to raise awareness for the charity.

Neville Matthews, managing director, Great Wall UK, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support a charity like Eye Feel Good, which has raised over £50,000 since it started in 2009.

“With the Great Wall’s towing capacity of 2500kg it’s the perfect partner for the touring campaign.”

In handing over the Steed to the charity, Neville was joined by Noel Hughes of Great Wall Motors, as well as Peter Eakin, Des Orr, John Barr and Noel Gormley, who all run Great Wall dealerships in Northern Ireland. Eye Feel Good’s chief executive, Richard Fee, collected the vehicle on behalf of the charity.

Richard said: “With the loan of a Great Wall Steed we will be able to travel all over the country with our own ‘great wall’ – of the climbing variety – so we’ll have the opportunity to raise awareness and much-needed funds to assist those living with cancer.”
