NORTH East-based Bell Truck & Van has been given a ringing endorsement by the managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, Steve Bridge.
The Mercedes Commercial Vehicle After Sales Dealer of the Year 2014 was chosen by Steve when he wanted to get first hand experience of the round-the-clock service provided to customers under the Service24h scheme.
Steve was paired for a shift with Technician Ben Lomas in one of the five dedicated Service24h vans that covers the North East 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Steve commented: “It was really valuable to get out and experience a shift with one of our hard-working Service24h Technicians; whether driver error such as a self-inflicted flat battery, or a road traffic accident, our Technicians are on call to literally deal with anything.
“To meet the customers who benefit from this free service was fantastic and I was pleased to see how much it benefited their businesses to keep their vans on the road.”
Service24h is a free call-out service across the UK and Europe which comes as part of the 30 year MobiloVan UK cover with every new Mercedes-Benz Vans vehicle purchase.
Across the 150 Service24h roadside recovery vehicles covering the UK, there is an average response time of 55 minutes, with 85% of vehicles fixed at the roadside.
Bell Truck & Van is currently the top Market Area for Mercedes Vans in terms of roadside fix rate at 91%, and is the second fastest Market Area for Mercedes Vans in terms of average attendance time – an overall of 43 minutes and 16 seconds; both outperforming the national average.
