The Fiat Fiorino Cargo well and truly shook up the city van sector when it first burst on to the scene in 2008 and immediately won the title of International Van of the Year. Since then, in the eyes of the judges, nothing has come to close to beating it.

The Fiorino is built very much with urban environments in mind. It is ideal for winkling into those tight city spaces but at the same time offers a massive load area of 2.5 cubic metres and a payload which almost matches that of its bigger brother the Doblo Cargo. This is more than double that offered by the various car-derived rivals – a veritable Tardis if ever there was one.

Fuel bills, servicing costs and CO2 emissions are kept to an absolute minimum thanks to Fiat’s MultiJet II technology, which also helps reduce NOx emissions, noise levels and oil consumption.

Despite being a van, this vehicle offers excellent ride and handling capabilities that will put a smile on the face of any driver – a real ride-on-rails feel.

Fiat also offers exceptional aftersales support and a strong warranty package, too, which are hugely important considerations for all businesses in these challenging times.
In addition, Fiat offers a rugged “Adverture” model with low-cost Traction+ all-terrain enhancements and the optional eco:Drive Professional and eco:Drive Fleet systems which give the driver and the fleet manager the chance to measure and improve the fuel economy of the vehicle by suggesting driving style adjustments, setting goals and fuel-saving routes where TomTom sat-nav is fitted in the low-cost optional navigation dock.
The judges were quick to praise this worthy contender. One said: “A cheeky styled yet well-suited product which makes sense for the environment.”
