BRAND Energy & Infrastructure Services marked its UK launch by placing the biggest single order yet for Mercedes Citan small vans.
It has commissioned 152 Citan 109 CDIs along with 23 Mercedes Sprinter 313 CDI chassis cabs from dealer S & B Commercials through a LeasePlan contract hire agreement.
Uniquely, all will be fitted with speed limiters which restrict their maximum to 62mph, or 100kph.
The new company was formed late last year, through the merger of two businesses, Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services and Harsco Infrastructure.
Although the Brand name is new to the UK, Harsco Infrastructure was well established in this country and had local roots dating back to 1919. Part of the group is a company called SGB Scaffolding, which also enjoys a high profile in Britain – SGB continues to trade, but does so now as part of the new company.
Today, Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services is a $3 billion operation providing customers throughout the world with a single-source solution for a comprehensive range of specialist services, including access solutions, insulation, corrosion management, coatings and fireproofing, as well as forming and shoring.
