Breezemount chooses T.O.M for 47 Movano MaxiQube ultra high payload vans

Leading UK-wide home delivery service provider Breezemount UK has chosen T.O.M Vehicle Rental to supply its fleet with 47 of the new ultra-high payload Vauxhall Movano MaxiQube panel vans designed by Maxi-Low.

The MaxiQube van will be officially launched, in Breezemount specification, on the T.O.M Vehicle Rental/MaxiLow stand 5C40 at this month’s Commercial Vehicle Show at the Birmingham NEC (26-28 April).

The new vehicles based on a Vauxhall Movano chassis offer an impressive payload benefit over a regular 3.5t panel van with 4.2m internal load length and 1.951m internal load height.

The lightweight, aerodynamic and environmentally-friendly body designed and manufactured by Maxi-Low will give Breezemount improved fuel economy as well as the ability to deliver their current volumes – more than 1 million home deliveries each year – with reduced road miles.

This is as a result of the increased volume and payload capacity offered by the new vehicle against the regular 3.5t panel vans used previously.

“T.O.M were commercially aware and worked consultatively with us from the outset to make sure the specification of the vehicles met all of our specific needs.”

The service from T.O.M, , the UK’s fastest growing commercial vehicle hire provider, offers Breezemount a fleet-focused, fixed cost, risk-managed solution on the exact vehicle types their business needs.

Additional features include lightweight rear container-style barn doors, LED rear lights and reversing camera with integrated rear light to reduce collision and damage incidents.

There are also recessed D load rings for securing loads as well as a mix of single and dual passenger seats to suit different operations. The contract hire offering from T.O.M includes repairs, servicing, maintenance, road fund licence, worn tyre replacement and replacement vehicles to keep Breezemount moving.

Additional specification aimed at reducing damage and collisions and improving driver safety introduced by Breezemount runs parallel with the current fleet initiative with video event recorders supplied by Lytx through the DriveCam Programme. Breezemount will use this to coach driver behaviour and continually develop and improve driver standards by encouraging safer, professional driving in what is a challenging time for driver resource generally.
