Bristol Water renews Peugeot fleet

  • New Peugeot van and car fleet for Bristol Water
  • Expert vans and 308 model cars included in the new deal
  • Four-year agreement to supply vehicles

THINK Bristol Water and in the fleet world you’ll be thinking Peugeot too, as the company has just taken delivery of a new fleet of Peugeot vans and cars – the result of a four-year agreement between the two companies.

This might be a new agreement, but the relationship between Peugeot and Bristol Water dates back to the 1980s with the supply of LCV models, which has expanded over the years to include cars.

The latest agreement involves the supply of two of the French brands’ most recent models, with the order made up of 18 new Expert vans mostly in ‘Professional’ trim and ‘Standard’ length, powered by the 95bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine.

Bristol Water employees will feel the benefit of the Expert Professional’s high-level of standard equipment, including the Moduwork folding passenger bench seat with load-through bulkhead and under-seat storage space.

Plus, air-conditioning, electrically-adjustable heated door mirrors and rear parking sensors, an anti-theft alarm, remote central locking with deadlocks, separate locking for the cab and load area, a DAB digital radio with 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity and Mirror Link for smartphone connectivity, as well as a USB socket, audio jack and 12 volt sockets.

There are also twin sliding side loading doors, a full height steel bulkhead, cruise control and a driver adjustable speed limiter. To help the Bristol Water drivers find their way and keep fuel consumption to a minimum, their new Experts are equipped with satellite navigation.

The Bristol Water fleet deal also includes 11 Peugeot 308 cars.

Speaking about the new deal, Martin Gurney, director of fleet at PSA Group UK, said: “Maintaining and further developing our relationship with Bristol Water by winning this vehicle supplier deal is an important step for Peugeot.

“The company is among the first to be supplied with a fleet of new Expert vans, launched at the CV Show last year.”
