Vauxhall Vivaro Best Green Van

VAUXHALL adds Best Green Van to its other Vivaro awards won in the 2016 Business Van of the Year Awards.

But, how did the 1.6 120PS Bi-Turbo version of Vauxhall’s Transit Custom rival manage to topple last year’s zero-emission winner – the all-electric Nissan e-NV200?

Well, Vauxhall’s development of diesel engines has resulted in impressive green credentials for the Vivaro, as the 1.6 BiTurbo engine fitted is capable of a class-leading fuel figure of 47.9mpg.

If you need to carry a crew, the consumption news gets even better with a frankly astonishing 49.6mpg fuel figure for the Combi version!

Think these fuel figures have only been seen in the test centre? Well according to Vauxhall, when the Vivaro has been tested in independent economy challenges, it has been found to exceed 50mpg easily!

Obviously, load changes will affect the fuel economy, but real world feedback leads Vauxhall to predict comfortably that our ‘Best Green Van Award Winner’ will crack 40mpg as a benchmark, with a theoretical range in excess of 800 miles.

All of this means for the environmentally-aware SMEs, that through efficiency savings, the Vauxhall Vivaro in 120PS 1.6 BiTurbo Sport helps minimise its environmental impact.
