City LinkAt the time of the collapse, George Alexander chief editor of Glass’s commercial vehicle valuations told Business Vans:

“While it’s hugely regrettable the impact of the collapse will have on both staff and the self-employed contractors, if there is one light on the horizon it’s that demand for drivers is high, which may lessen the pain.”

George Alexander also said that the 3.5 tonne vans predominantly used for City Link work were also in high demand. “The 3.5 tonne panel van is likely to be a popular commodity as there is demand for late year tidy stock,” he said in the aftermath of the firm’s collapse.
