THINK you’re looking at a clone of the latest all-new Crafter on the MAN stand at this year’s CV Show? Well, you’re right, as Crafter clone the MAN TGE is basically a re-badged and re-nosed version of Volkswagen’s biggest new commercial range and built in the same factory.
This is a good thing, as Business Vans already rate the new Crafter and the fact that the new MAN benefits from the same safety and technology innovations, are sure to make the TGE an easier sell for a brand that hasn’t been known for offering vans before.
Offered with the same choice of models and versions as the Volkswagen, MAN instead will sell the TGE on the strength of its aftersales network and service built up from its truck network. As thus, the plan is to keep unscheduled time off road to minimum, reducing running costs for customers.
The Man TGE goes on sale in September, with prices starting at £23,990.
