BESPOKE vehicle storage and van conversions company, Bri-Stor, used the CV Show to debut its new Custom Hardtop for the Ford Ranger.
The new Ford Ranger Bri-Stor Custom Hardtop has been designed to be watertight for tough off-road conditions that the Ranger is likely to encounter in operational use.
In addition it’s also been designed to take a substantial roof weight with access to the storage in the hardtop via gullwing doors.
“Given the conditions the Ford Ranger will meet, we really had to make sure it was truly watertight. After a lot of testing, including spray tests to ensure the seams didn’t let in water, it’s now ready for market,” said Jane Aukim, marketing & sales executive at Bri-Stor.
Jane said a Ford Ranger Super Cab was fitted with the new Bri-Stor Custom Hardtop, then fully loaded with 85kg on the roof and internal loading of 525kg to a final gross vehicle mass of 2975kg, and then it underwent durability testing at the Millbrook proving ground in Bedfordshire, including pave cobbles.
“The product survived the test well. It’s highly robust,” added Jane. The new Ford Ranger Bri-Stor Custom Hardtop costs £2500.
