This is Clarks’ 7-seat welfare conversion, designed as a home-from-home for workforces on the move

FORD’s much-anticipated new Transit van is hitting the roads, and following close behind are the conversions.

Long-established specialist Clarks Vehicle Conversions will reveal its seven-seat welfare version of the latest Transit at the CV Show later this month.

The AutoClarks M7 conversion is designed to keep workforces both safe and comfortable when on the move. It includes heating, a seating area, messing facilities and a toilet.

Clarks is making the most of the many improvements offered by the new Ford Transit, and among planned developments are a a lighter-weight conversion for improved fuel economy and reduced payload.

The CV show is being held at the Birmingham NEC from 29th April to 1st May and staff on the Clarks stand will also be offering full information on the company’s other interior solutions.

These range from racking to extra seats and lining kits, all tested to meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Clarks was the first company to achieve National Small Series Whole Vehicle Type Approval from the VCA in 2013 for its welfare conversions across a number of base vehicles, and this year intends to use the new Ford Transit as a springboard to achieving the European status for Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
