Ford Transit Courier at the CV Show

And with that, Ford completes the set. The smallest of the all-new Transit range, the Transit Courier, had its first public showing at the CV Show this week

FORD showcased its entire all-new Transit range at the CV Show, which also saw the debut of the smallest van in the range, the Ford Transit Courier.

There’s no doubt the Courier is one of the ‘family’ with the new-look, up-to-the-minute Ford styling seen on its bigger brothers.

Despite its place as the ‘baby’ in the new Transit range, the Courier, which is also offered in Kombi form, a can carry a standard Euro pallet maximum and a 660kg payload. According to Ford, the Courier offers 10% greater load volume and better load-carrying features than its than its direct rivals.

Among the features are:

Six cargo tie-down points, including four rear side-mounted points to avoid obstruction of the floor area.

A longer floor level load length at 1.62m.
Multiple pre-installed bodyside fixing points for installing racking or framework.
A full-height, full-width steel bulkhead (glazed or unglazed) or optional folding mesh bulkhead and fold-dive passenger seat for longer items up to 2.59m, and maximum load volume of 2.6cu m.
Optional ultra-bright LED loadspace lighting in the van body style.
Easier loading of bulky items via wider sliding rear side doors.

For cargo access, there are twin asymmetric rear cargo doors that open to 158 degrees. Buyers can specify single or dual sliding side load doors.
