Striking front end with raised headlamps and a multi-piece front bumper to minimise damage and repair costs

The new look also incorporates a striking new grille and chevron design as well as a large, multi-piece front bumper intended to minimise accident damage and reduce repair costs.

According to Citroen, the new Relay offers class-leading payloads and load space practicality with square-sided load compartments and wide load decks, plus and some of the lowest load deck heights in its class.

It also delivers improved levels of standard equipment, extended service intervals, up to 15% more fuel-efficient engines and lower emissions than the previous model, in addition to a range of new options to improve safety and driver comfort.

Frequent-use, high-stress items such as the rear doors have been reinforced and door hinges of greater strength are now used. The sliding side load doors have benefited from reinforced rails, re-designed runners and improved door locks to improve durability and security.

The HDi diesel engine choice for the new Relay range has also been significantly improved, with up to 15% better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions figures compared with the previous model. All Relay panel vans in the 3.0-3.5 tonne GVW sector now have combined-cycle fuel economy of up to 42.8mpg and emission figures of less than 200g/km CO2

Other reductions in operating costs come from an extension in service intervals of up to two years or 30,000 miles.
