Double cab dropside version has room for 7

As well as the New Master panel van, Renault also had a RWD LLL35 double cab dropside on the stand (see photo).

But if the New Master looks vaguely familiar – apart from the redesigned grille – then what’s happened under the bonnet is the biggest change.

There will be two engines – a single turbo and a twin turbo of the 2.3 dCi engines with different power outputs.

There will be 110hp and 125hp single turbo engines (previously 100hp and 150hp) and 135hp and 165hp twin turbo technology engines.

Renault says that as well as more power these new Twin Turbo Technology engines offer greater fuel efficiency – on the 165hp version Renault says the fuel saving is 7.3mpg, while delivering more power and more torque.

Fuel consumption can be further improved by an additional 10% by using the ECOmode button which adjusts engine torque and heater system settings.

Order books for the New Master range open in June  and the vans will be ready for delivery by the end of the summer.
