All-new Citroen Berling made its debut at the CV Show today

WE already know what a great van the Citroen Berlingo is, as the 1.6 HDi L1 Enterprise is our 2015 Van of the Year.

Well, not one to sit on its laurels, Citroen has announced a new one at the CV Show today.

The new Berlingo majors on running cost reductions, environmental benefits and improved driver comfort, safety and convenience features.

Under this Citroen van’s bonnet, there is still the choice of the Euro6 VTi 95 petrol, Plus Euro 5 HDi 75 and HDi 90 diesel engines. However, these are now complimented by the latest-generation Euro6 BlueHDi 100 and 120 diesels.

The first Citroen van to be offered with these engines, CO2 emissions are down to an impressive 109g/km for the BlueHDi 100L1 625 LX with ETG6 automated manual transmission, and fuel economy figures of up to 68.9mpg.

Citroen might claim this is an all-new van, but we at Business Vans reckon it’s more of a face-lift, as the only changes we could spot over the current van was a redesigned grille and front bumper, which are available in conjunction with a Look Pack featuring LED daytime-running lights.

The new Berlingo also includes specification upgrades in the form of standard cruise control and programmable speed limiter for LX and Enterprise trims. With the range-topping Enterprise trim also gaining a 7-inch touchscreen with Mirror Screen technology, an upgraded DAB audio system and an alarm.

All new Berlingo panel vans are fitted, as standard, with Teletrac Smartnav satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking, to help with cost-saving efficiency, safety, security and productivity benefits. These can be upgraded at extra cost to include Fleet Director real-time fleet management capability.

New Berlingo options include front parking sensors, a reversing camera, and a colour touchscreen with audio streaming.
