RECORDS management and storage specialist firm Deepstore has just replaced its eight year old Mercedes Sprinters with six new vans.
Deepstore’s UK Logistics Manager Chris Gamble told Business Vans: “Our new vans replace a previous batch of Sprinters that were nearly eight years old but had proved exceptionally reliable. They were a great testament to the Mercedes-Benz brand.
“It’s crucial that our uniformed drivers should feel safe and confident in their vans so we listened carefully to the feedback we’d had from our drivers before deciding to go with the Sprinter again.”
The Sprinters will operate from Deeptstore’s bases at Bow in East Londond and Wallington in Surrey.
They’ve had a narrow escape.
Deepstore is part of the Compass Minerals Group and as such uses the 180 million square metres of storage space situated 150 metres under the ground at Winsford in Cheshire in an old salt mine. That’s where the main archive is kept.
It is said to provide unrivalled protection from natural disasters and security risks, making it perfect for storage of all types of archives, including business-critical data.
Deepstore will use LeasePlan contract hire for its business van finance.
The Long-bodied 313 CDI Sprinters were supplied by Mercedes-Benz dealership SG Smith, of Sydenham, South London, which will maintain the vans at its Croydon depot. The Sprinters are powered by 129hp turbo-diesel engines mated to six-speed ECO Gear manual transmissions.
