FORMER Fiat Professional country director Ricky McFarland joins Mercedes-Benz Vans as head of strategic accounts in the company’s continued drive to the UK fleet sector.

Reporting directly to UK sales director Simon Neill, Ricky brings a wealth of experience as he joins Mercedes-Benz Vans from being top man for Fiat Professional, having just overseen the launch of the new Fiat Fullback pick-up. There he had previously risen from sales operations manager to become head of national corporate and leasing sales department.

Prior to this, Ricky held a European account manager role with Vauxhall/Opel.

Commenting on his appointment, Simon Neill said: “We are pleased to welcome Ricky to Mercedes-Benz Vans and to a team which he has described as ‘the best in the business’. Ricky’s passion and knowledge for the industry will further boost an already successful team as we continue to partner with our customers to best support their businesses.”

Ricky McFarland joins Mercedes-Benz Vans as head of strategic accounts he fills a role vacated by Andy Lawson as he further develops his international Mercedes-Benz career with a secondment opportunity as head of strategic accounts for Mercedes-Benz Vans USA, based in Georgia.
