Motorcraft 4+ is a Ford initiative aimed at vans over 4 years old. Some parts prices have been cut by more than half

IF you’ve got an older Transit, or Transit Connect, Ford wants your maintenance business.

And to get it, selected parts for Transit and Transit Connect models more than four years old have been cut by more than half in some cases.

A replacement clutch slave cylinder for a 2000-2006 model Ford Transit is now up to 58% cheaper – that’s a saving of up to £210. The Ford and Ford Motorcraft value range parts available at a reduced price also include:

  • Brakes – discs and linings;
  • Filters – air filters, oil filters, diesel fuel filters;
  • Clutches and flywheels – clutch kits, clutch release bearings and dual mass flywheels;
  • Running gear – wishbones and control arms, wheel bearings.

The cost-cutting strategy follows the recent launch of Ford Motorcraft 4+ – a parts and service package aimed at drivers of commercial vehicles and cars aged four years and older.

The reductions have been introduced as Ford completes the launch of its totally redesigned and expanded Transit range in Europe, which includes the all-new Ford Transit, Ford Transit Custom, Ford Transit Connect and Ford Transit Courier.

With this new initiative in place, customers with older Transit and Transit Connect vehicles can also benefit from reduced ownership costs.

Ford of Britain customer service division director Jon Wellsman told Business Vans: “Small businesses need to watch every penny, and these price cuts on regular service parts will bring savings that customers really notice.”
