THE Shelby Snake badge is set to return to a truck, with the announcement of the new 2017 Ford F-150 Super Snake.
Just 150 of these special F-150 trucks will be available via selected American Ford dealers and they boast a supercar-rivalling 750bhp punch, from the supercharged version of its iconic 5.0-litre V8 engine.
You won’t miss the Shelby F-150 Super Snake from the outside either, as it features unique Shelby styling that they believe enhances the lines of the standard F-150 truck.
Changes over standard include the new bonnet, spoilers, grilles, rear bumper panel and tonneau cover. Plus those distinctive Shelby Super Snake stripes and badges and a choice mof six colours.
Inside, the unique Super Snake theme continues across the seats, dash and floor.
Speaking about the new Super Snake, Joe Conway, co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International and CEO of Shelby American, said: “Carroll Shelby was an early pioneer in high performance street trucks, beginning with his first production version almost 30 years ago.
“With the tremendous demand for our off-road focused Shelby F-150, fans of the classic Ford Lightning and our 2009 Shelby F-150 Super Snake have clamoured for a new generation muscle truck from Shelby.”
Recommended retail price for the truck is from 96,880 USD.
