Ford Transit Custom wins the award for Best Crew Van

THE Ford Transit Custom is Ford’s replacement for the old lighter Transit models (larger new Transits appear this year) and this model has been making quite a name for itself already, having picked up a raft of awards so far including International Van of the Year 2013.

And it’s easy to see why this van is a winner.

It looks superb with great kerbside appeal and features many best-in-class attributes which are bound to appeal to business users of all kinds.

The Transit Custom is the first and only van in its segment to have achieved a maximum 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.

The Double Cab-in-Van draws upon many advanced technologies, including the Ford SYNC voice control and MP3/iPod and phone connectivity system.

As with the van, buyers can choose two or three seats in the front row. In addition, the Double-Cab-in-Van offers an extra fixed row of three seats behind the front row. Then a fixed glazed bulkhead separates the second row of seats from the loadspace.
