THE Van Excellence industry best practice scheme has a new high-profile partner in Lex Autolease.
One of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle suppliers, in Lex Autolease has signed up to Van Excellence as it believes the scheme’s safety and efficiency aims are closely allied to its own.
“As one of the UK’s largest commercial vehicle providers, we are committed to helping businesses, ranging from SMEs through to large corporates, to operate a safe and efficient van fleet on a daily basis,” says Marcus Puddy, Commercial Vehicle Director at Lex Autolease and a judge at our recent Business Van of the Year awards.
The Van Excellence Code, launched in 2010 and backed by the Freight Transport Associaiton (FTA), seeks to promote high standards of van operation and driving by accrediting operators against an industry code of good practice.
The Industry Partners help to promote the code amongst their customers, and Lex Autolease joins a list that already includes ATS Euromaster, BT Fleet, Hertz and TomTom Business Solutions.
Other Van Excellence initiatives involving the industry partners include developing best practice guides and a series of conferences held across the UK.
According to Mark Cartwright, the FTA’s Head of Vans and Logistics Buyers, it is now the perfect opportunity for such a highly respected organisation as Lex Autolease to get involved. “It is indicative of how important the growth of the scheme has become with the logistics industry,” he says.
“The support of all the Van Excellence Industry Partners has proved invaluable as the scheme continues to go from strength to strength,” Cartwright adds.
