Fixing up London – Cappagh turns to Mercedes-Benz Dealer Rygor for its van fleet
SOUTH London civil engineering group Cappagh has ordered a new fleet of 83 Mercedes-Benz Vans as part of the flourishing partnership between Wimbledon-based Cappagh and Rygor, Britain’s largest Mercedes-Benz Dealer group.
Their Ultramarine Blue paintwork having been applied at the Mercedes-Benz factory, the operator’s Utilities Division has begun taking deliveries of the first batch of 25 Medium-length Sprinter 313 CDIs from Rygor’s Heathrow branch.

As well as trialling demonstrators provided by Rygor, Cappagh took extensive soundings from rental companies and other operators before ordering its first Mercedes-Benz light commercial vehicles.
“The feedback was resoundingly positive, particularly in terms of reliability,” confirmed Transport Manager David Fahey.
“This is the single most important attribute we look for in a van, because given the service commitments we make to our own customers unplanned downtime is something we cannot afford.”
Rygor has also supplied Cappagh with 30 FUSO Canter 7.5-tonners over the last 12 months, which are used by tarmac gangs. The Dealer services these vehicles under Mercedes-Benz Repair & Maintenance Contracts, and is currently processing orders for another 10, as well as seven 8×4 Mercedes-Benz Arocs tipper grabs.
Cappagh was founded in 1973 by Tom Ferncombe, who remains as Chairman, while his son Michael is Managing Director, and the Cappagh group boasts a combined annual turnover of more than £40 million.
