Mercedes PRO Adaptor connectivity could help streamline your business

MERCEDES are offering customers a chance to streamline their fleet operations with the introduction of the Mercedes PRO Adaptor for the Vito and Sprinter range.

You don’t even need to be running a large fleet. Even if your business only operates a few vans the Mercedes PRO Adaptor could make a difference to the efficiency of your operation.

The Mercedes PRO Adapter makes it possible to manage vehicles online as well as to check vehicle information such as location, fuel level or maintenance intervals almost in real time. You can optimise vehicle dispatching, interact with the office, and gain considerable scope for improvement when it comes to effective fleet management.

Insert the Mercedes PRO Adaptor into the service port in the vehicle and it will establish a connection between the vehicle and the driver’s smartphone. The web-based service will allow your business to maintain contact with your vehicles, keep track of servicing so you can plan accordingly, and reduce the effort required for business analysis – mileage for individual vehicles or an entire fleet can be analysed with the system.

The Mercedes PRO Adaptor will initially be available with the basic services but other uses are planned for the future, including an integrated solution to be fitted to all new vehicles.

All it takes to access connected services is a visit to a Mercedes-Benz Van Dealership. Any vehicle fitted with a Mercedes PRO Adapter can then be used in conjunction with the Mercedes PRO Adapter app. The only other requirements are an Internet connection and an up-to-date browser.

The Mercedes PRO Adapter app can be used on all common Android and iOS smartphones and can be downloaded from the respective app stores.
