Former Kwik-Fit Fleet director in now e-commerce role

MIKE Wise, a name synonymous with tyres but missing from the scene since he departed Kwik-Fit Fleet,  has popped back onto the scene, having the joined motor industry e-commerce experts epyx.

Mike will join epyx in the newly created role of director of tyre programmes.

In many ways Mike is Mr Tyre Industry. His CV includes successful spells as managing director of fleet at Kwik Fit Group, managing director of ATS Euromaster Service and Development, and managing director of Euromaster BV Netherlands.

At epyx, he will be working on a variety of new tyre initiatives for both the fleet and retail markets based around the market standard 1link Service Network e-commerce platform.  Epyx said more details about this would be announced shortly.

“Epyx has an unrivalled track record in bringing new e-commerce initiatives to the fleet sector and already has a user community of more than 16,000 franchise dealers, independent garages and fast fits, all of whom supply and fit tyres,” said Mike.

“It makes enormous sense to look at new ways of harnessing this advanced technology and huge user base to create new tyre processes that bring benefits for everyone in the supply chain, both in the UK and in Europe.”

Gary Gibson, head of customer services at epyx, said: “Mike has a wealth of experience in the fleet industry and as a key member of the epyx team will naturally broaden our skills and relationships.

“His immediate brief is to focus on further developing the market for our products in the tyre sector throughout Europe, working in both the fleet and supply chain areas.

“In addition, he will also be a key figure in developing and nurturing the relationships we have with our existing clients.”
