The new Mercedes V Class will be offered in two lengths: Long 5170mm (current Vito is 5008mm) and Extra Long 5370mm (current Vito 5238mm). So it looks like capacity of the Vito will be better.
Meanwhile the V Class will be offered with two choices of turbodiesel engine both based on Mercedes’ 2.1-litre four-cylinder with two-stage turbocharging: a 220 CDI with 163hp and 380Nm and a 250 BlueTEC with 190hp and 440Nm.
The interior of the V Class (pictured) shows a sumptuous cabin in keeping with the MPV’s luxury aspirations. While we don’t expect the Mercedes Vito to be covered in leather, we do expect the cabin to be much more car like and to exceed the excellent cabin standards set by the Ford Transit Custom and the new Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro.
