PROPERTY maintenance company owners Chris and Pam Mansfield were so impressed with the service they received on their Sprinter camper van, they decided to buy Mercedes-Benz Vito vans for their small company fleet.
The vans carry critical equipment for the business so they must on the road – a courtesy van is no use
Southampton-based Refix is now running five Extra-long Vito models from south coast dealership Pentagon Commercials, supplied racked out for use by the company’s electricians.
Why? Chris Mansfield told Business Vans: “As far as [Pentagon] was aware I was a private customer with a camper van, but I’ve always been very impressed with their service and attention to detail.
“These vans are fully equipped with all of the tools, spares and access gear our engineers need to do their jobs. So it’s crucial that we keep them out there and working, because a courtesy vehicle is no good to us.
“That’s why the fact that Pentagon can service our vehicles through the night is so attractive.
“Unlike our previous supplier, it’s a commercial vehicle specialist and really understands the requirements of a business such as ours.”
Refix was founded in 1988 by the husband-and-wife team to provide maintenance services to commercial customers throughout central southern England. In addition to electrical work the firm tackles any building maintenance work.
The Vito is equipped with range high-tech active and passive safety systems, which include Adaptive Brake Lights which flash under heavy braking to provide an additional warning to traffic behind, plus the latest Adaptive ESP system.
