VOLKSWAGEN Commercial Vehicles has revealed a new initiative to support their sales staff and Business Development Managers (BDM) in centres – the new VW iPad app sales tool.
Designed to be an indispensable tool in customer meetings with small and large businesses, the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles sales app helps a BDM in the early stages of the sales process. It does this by guiding customers through a suite of questions and tools to narrow down the choice to the perfect van for their needs.
Then to help quantify the sale, the results can be emailed to the customer afterwards.
Currently at the pilot stage, it has been trialled in 20 centres since September. Trial or no trial, this iPad app is already seeing results, with one BDM already selling five vans alone in the first two-weeks!
Testing goes on till the end of February, then the feedback will be reviewed; more changes will be made and the app will be rolled out to all Van Centres by the end of the year.
