Claret pop the cork on their new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans

AN East of England engineering services company is toasting its success after winning a 15-year contract and raised its glass to Mercedes-Benz and their vehicle supplier.

Outstanding reliability backed by a top-quality, competitively priced servicing plan, persuaded Claret Civil Engineering to invest in its first Mercedes-Benz Vans.

The Suffolk-based company’s 11 Sprinter 313 CDIs have been assigned to its newly won Integrated Maintenance and Repair contract for Anglian Water. All are ply-lined and fitted with beacons, working lights and tow-bars, and were supplied to an exacting schedule by Orwell Truck & Van.

Claret Civil Engineering operates from headquarters in Hoxne, near Eye. Its new vans are the subject of a Mercedes-Benz Service Care contract covering all routine parts and labour costs, and will be maintained in the Dealer’s Ipswich and Norwich workshops.

Managing Director Andy Gibbons said, “We understood when we were awarded this prestigious contract that we would need to increase our vehicle fleet to deliver the work, so we considered several manufacturers and suppliers.

We know the Sprinter enjoys an excellent reputation for reliability and durability, as well as offering attractive running costs and leading the market in terms of safety.

Claret Civil Engineering was selected for its position on the 15-year contract with Anglian Water Services after a two-year procurement process and will work collaboratively with three other service providers as part of an integrated delivery team responsible for maintaining Anglian Water’s water recycling network, a role that includes repairing failed pipework and replacing damaged assets.
