Tiggywinkles is best known for its work with hedgehogs, but the animal charity deals with all sorts of injured animals and handles over 10,000 cases a year

TOYOTA has presented Avebury-based wildlife hospital Tiggywinkles with a new Hilux pick-up.

The Double Cab Invincible pick is a replacement for the 4Runner donated to the wildlife hospital by Toyota 20 years ago, which has given sterling service throughout the south of England.

The all-wheel drive Hilux has been adapted for the role, with an increase in ground clearance  and the addition of a raised air intake, to help the pick-up tackle rough terrain and flooded roads.

It has also been fitted with a front-mounted winch, Truckman top over the rear deck, roof rack, high-mounted LED lighting bar and towbar. The pick-up also carries Tiggywinkles’ livery.
