Omega Red Group, the UK market leader in earthing and lightning protection, has taken delivery of a fleet of highly bespoke Transporter models from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. The group offers full solutions from design through to installation and maintenance of lightning protection, earthing and height safety systems in several locations across the country.
Working closely with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles the group helped to design and produce a fleet of 44 custom-built Transporter vans to support the delivery of their services nationwide. The bespoke fleet has been kitted out with racking, specialist ladder racks, dash cams and telematics equipment and will be used by Omega Red Group’s engineers to transport and install equipment around the country.
Available in two wheelbases the Transporters are capable of moving loads up to 1,300 kg and have a load compartment volume of 5.8 to 9.3 m³. With flexible load areas and ample storage capacity engineers will be able to effectively deliver cost-effective services across their network of branches.
