World Rally Champion Colin McRae in action

Colin McRae in action

CAN you believe it has been 20 years since the legendary Scottish rally driver Colin McRae became the first Brit and the youngest driver to win the World Rally Championship (WRC).

That was in a Subaru before more event-winning campaigns in the Ford Focus WRC car. Despite his untimely death in 2007 that record still stands and to commemorate this accolade, White Hot Vans have had the ingenious idea to decorate their latest Ford Ranger 3.2 manual demonstrator in this McRae Focus-matching Martini colour scheme.

Originally finished in Performance Blue, White Hot Vans have had this pick-up covered in this unique wrap. In fact, it looks a lot like the largely forgotten WRC limited edition version of the old Ranger from 2002 when McvRae was running the Focus.

White Hot Vans are sure to make more van sales off the back of this special pick-up and we reckon if Colin had seen this pick-up, he’d be proud. Certainly White Hot Vans’ Richard Bunn is making the most of it with a launch promo of a free kids’ Ranger for Christmas for every order for the all-new 2016 Ranger. As Richard adds: “We are on fire as always!”
