New corporate livery hits the streets
WATCH out, there’s a new-look van about!
The Wood Auto group is rebranding its vehicles with a striking new look.
Wood Auto – which comprises Wood Auto Supplies, Leyland Auto and motor factor operation, Wood Auto Factors – has begun to rebrand its fleet of delivery vehicles to encompass the now familiar red oval imagery of its overall corporate style into a striking new colour scheme.
Commenting on the new livery Graham Heywood, managing director of Wood Auto said: “In the past the three businesses in the group had tended to operate on a relatively arms length basis, which has meant that the branding for each has always been quite distinct and individual. However, as part of an on-going rebranding process, we felt it was now an opportune time to begin to draw together the businesses to follow a common corporate theme.
“One of the reasons behind this consolidation is that while each business still very much maintains its own customer base, in recent years the intercompany relationships have developed and new purchasing, manufacturing and distribution arrangements have evolved.
“One clear example of this change is in our Diesel Exchange Programme. Although sold under the Wood Auto brand, these products are remanufactured for Wood Auto by Leyland Auto, which is an authorised parts and repair specialist for Bosch, Delphi, Denso and VDO Siemens diesel systems.
‘In the same way, Wood Auto Factors supplies a range of service and repair products to garages in and around Huddersfield and Wakefield. However, part of that range includes starter motors and alternators supplied by Wood Auto and diesel components remanufactured by Leyland Auto.
“As a result of these developments, we have settled on a new design that allows each business to maintain its own identity, but also expresses the link that underpins them all. This is seen most graphically in the new signage for our fleet of vans, which are a powerful expression of the brand to our many customers up and down the country.”
