Citroen Relay

Lock and load – The Relay has over eight cubic metres of loadspace

What’s not

  • The 110bhp powerplant isn’t exactly a ball of fire. It very much depends on whether you are buying this van for yourself or for someone else to drive. In the former case, you’ll probably be better off plumping for the next power band up – 130bhp – but in the latter case, there is oomph enough for most everyday purposes.
  • One of the perennial problems with the Relay – and indeed its twin brothers the Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato – is that the handbrake lever sticks out of the side of the seat on the door side. Jump out too quickly and you are likely to end any future chances of starting a family! Be warned!

Verdict on the Citroen Relay L1H1 110

With fresh opposition coming from the cracking new Ford Transit, Citroen has made an excellent job of keeping its contender in this sector firmly in the running.
