There’s nothing to suggest that the new Transit won’t stay Britain’s best-selling van

Business Vans’ verdict

The Transit is a tremendously important vehicle for Ford and there’s no way the company was going to be half-hearted about the all-new model.

Most production – 80% – will go to big organisations, but that still leaves a significant number that will be used by smaller businesses and tradespeople.

All will find significant improvements from the outside to the inside and in the power units. With running costs also set to come down compared with the outgoing model, Britain’s number one selling van for the past 49 years, will very likely retain its crown for a long time yet.
