Citroen has moved quickly to find Martin Hamill’s replacement as head of commercial vehicles.
Martin was promoted to the role of fleet director following Andy Wady’s departure earlier this month.
And a bit like empty vans being an inefficient use of space, Citroen has filled the load space of Martin Hamill’s vacated seat with Scott Michael.
Scott takes on the role of head of commercial vehicles & business centre programme based out of Citroen’s new Coventry HQ base.
Scott moves up after 18 months as commercial vehicle operations manager.
Scott’s previous roles have included fleet analyst, area fleet sales manager and commercial vehicle sales manager.
“Since its inception, Citroen’s Business Centre programme has been a major success and our LCV sales performance has remained very strong,” commented Scott (32).
“Both these factors have played key roles in enabling Citroen to expand its business, especially in the SME sector, and I am looking forward to working on maintaining this growth,” added Scott on the business van news of his promotion.
As head of commercial vehicles & business centre programme, Scott will have the Citroen field-based team of regional business centre manageres – Gillian Blair, Denis Golden, Andrew Hibbs and Jeff Rodger – reporting into him, along with Chris Jones, who is responsible for Citroen’s LCV conversion business.
Reporting to Scott in his new role are Gillian Blair, Denis Golden, Andrew Hibbs and Jeff Rodger, Citroën’s field-based team of Regional Business Centre Managers, and Chris Jones, who is responsible for the company’s LCV conversion business.
Scott, aged 32, is a former graduate of Hull University where he read Business Studies and Spanish. He first joined Citroen in 2003.
