Cheers! Mr Sultan of Craigie Stores celebrates his win

WE wouldn’t normally recommend drinking and driving but it certainly paid off for one lucky couple – the purchase of wine landed them with the prizes of a Vauxhall Combo van and six cases of rose.

Mr and Mrs Sultan, who run Craigie Stores in Kilmarnock, entered a competition run by Gallo Wines when they bought some cases at their local cash and carry.

Their lucky win netted them the wine plus an L1H1 specification Combo powered by a 1.3CDTi 16v 90bhp engine, which delivers combined fuel consumption of 58.9mpg and low CO2 emissions of 126g/km.

Steve Bryant, brand manager, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles, said:  “We are proud to have supported this fantastic competition for local independent off-licences and convenience stores with our award-winning Combo van.

“It also gave us a great opportunity to promote our network of Vauxhall retailers, giving them the opportunity to showcase vehicles at major cash and carries.”

(For the record we reckon it would take 26 cases of wine to actually fill the Combo to the brim.)
