THE Vauxhall Vivaro changed the face of panel vans forever when it was first launched back in 2001. It was the first commercial vehicle to drive like a car and even after a run of some 13 years, the old model was still capable of standing up to some much newer opposition models.

The second generation Vivaro was launched last year and once again wowed the buying public by upping the ante in the sector even further.

New Vivaro makes for the perfect large trades van as it is designed around an incredibly practical load area, matched with superb drivability. The load area can accommodate three Europallets or 8×4 ply even on short wheelbase variants.

A choice of two wheelbases and two roof heights allows customers to carry a load volume of up to 8.6 cu m and an impressive payload of up 1,281kg.

And with the FlexCargo load-through bulkhead functionality as standard on Sportive trim, items of up to 3.75m (4.15m on L2) can be carried with ease. The cab environment is state-of-the-art, with a generous level of specification as standard, including six-way adjustable driver’s seat with height adjustable armrest and lumbar support.

There’s also a high level of infotainment with Bluetooth, USB and digital radio all standard. Plus there are innovative new features such as the wide-angle, blind spot mirror and ecoMode offered as standard.

Fuel economy is excellent right across the range, not just on a headline version, with up to 47.9mpg on the combined cycle.  And that’s despite improved performance in both power and torque from the new bi-turbo engine. Built in Britain to the very highest standards (BIQ Level 4), new Vivaro truly is the definitive large trades van for British business.

Vauxhall retailers also offer a wide range of accessories including roof base carriers and plylining is available via the retailer or can be specified from the factory. The Luton plant also has a conversion centre for bespoke requirements and customisation.
