The all new Trafic will be the centrepiece of the Renault stand at the CV Show at the end of the month

RENAULT is planning its biggest presence yet at this year’s CV show, to show off the launch of the latest Renault Trafic van.

The Renault stand at the show, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 29th April to 1st May, will include some 10 vehicles.

Highlight will be the all-new Renault Trafic, which launches in the UK later this year and aims to add to the 1.6 million Trafics Renault has sold since 1980.

The latest version is being offered in a wide range of body styles, including two heights, two lengths, panel van, crew-van, platform cab and passenger versions, as well as various customer versions produced by approved converters and Renault Tech.

Renault says that the new Trafic is a flexible and economical vehicle, thanks to its new range of downsized, turbocharged engines, based on the latest-generation, Renault-developed 1.6 dCi unit.

This new unit delivers significant fuel consumption savings while remaining enjoyable to drive, and is being offered in two versions: a single variable geometry turbo, yielding 15 per cent better fuel economy than the current model and a Twin-Turbo with combined fuel economy exceeding 47mpg.
