OWN a Euro 5-compliant Caddy model from 2008, or one of the first Amarok pick-ups from 2011?

Well expect an emissions recall letter from Volkswagen soon, as your commercials have the emission-cheating software which will require a fix at your local centre.

Key points:

  • Only affects Euro 5 Caddy and early Amarok pick-up models
  • Transporter and Crafter unaffected
  • Estimated 80,000 vans affected

However, Transporter and Crafter owners can breathe a sigh of relief, as according to UK Brand Director, Karl Zu Dohna, these models are not affected.

Zu Dohna went on to tell us that they were still working out how to make this emissions recall, that affects an estimated 80,000 vans, a service item.

Business Vans also wonders with these being older commercials, how many of them are still being serviced at Volkswagen Van Centres and how this recall would be enforced in that case?

We will bring you more details on these on-going emissions issues with Volkswagen Commercials on Business Vans when we have them.
